The Beasts of Marseilles

In 1943 France, escaped British POWs Dave (Stephen Boyd) and Jim (Tony Wright) hide in a tiny apartment in the port city of Marseille, waiting for a ship to England. Despite streets teeming with German soldiers, the men boldly mingle with the French locals, including the vivacious Lise (Anna Gaylor), who they believe is helping to break the remaining prisoners out of the POW camp -- though she's actually a petty thief who may or may not work for shady Dr. Martout (James Robertson Justice).
