After race car driver Tommy Callahan experiences blackouts that lead to a deadly accident, he is banished from professional competition. Taking a job as a stunt driver, Tommy meets Francie Madsen and her young beau, Eddie Sands. Tommy teaches Eddie the essentials of driving. However, when Eddie steals Tommy's girlfriend, Annie Blaine, the two begin a tense rivalry. Can Tommy and Eddie reconcile, or are they destined to be enemies?
