After a fatal shooting leaves his career hanging by a thread, S.W.A.T. Sergeant Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson is forced into retirement; two years later, he's back, tasked with building a new tactical unit from the department's most talented outcasts.
A manhunt pushes the Exiles to their breaking point; when a decision Hondo made to shield his squad from scrutiny comes back to bite him, he realizes someone close to him may know more than they're letting on.
When the Exiles descend on a family business, a father-son power struggle boils over into a hostage standoff with deeper roots than turf; taking point as Scout for the first time, Malik faces an impossible call: one that will haunt him and the squad.
Hondo Harrelson gets one shot at redemption: build an S.W.A.T. unit from LA's overlooked talent; the team clicks under fire, but one of Hondo's own made a promise that has nothing to do with protecting S.W.A.T.
