Sisters Catherine Walcott and Catherine Walcott don't know the other exists until their father dies.
After the wedding is canceled, Cat decides to take Cathy on their own sisters honeymoon to cheer her up; Marilyn finds Colin's missing will and, together with Tess, they need to tell the girls the shocking news.
Cathy's pre-wedding jitters reach a breaking point when Marcus accidentally scuffs a wall in the house; Tess throws a party the night before the wedding, hoping to impress Marcus' formidable father; Marilyn hits it off with Marcus' mother.
With her mother refusing to go, Cathy's bachelorette party invitees are Auntie Dawn, Marilyn, Cat and an old school friend, but it doesn't turn out to be the classy, edifying affair the bride-to-be wanted.
Cathy boxes up her father's things in preparation for selling the house; Cat and Marilyn go overboard taking mementos; Cathy teaches Cat how to ride a bike; Marcus visits the dump.
Cathy is put on compassionate leave from work and asked to attend grief counseling, but she hides what happened from her mother and fiancé; Cat wants to be Cathy's maid of honor and offers to take care of the wedding dress.
Cathy and Cat cannot find their dad's will and, at their joint birthday party, their moms fight over which family their dead dad loved most.
Two sisters -- both named Catherine Walcott -- are unaware of each other's existence until their father drops dead at a surprise party.
